So what actually transcended space and time was not a person...but love.
In this world, long life super pills do not exist, only long life love exists.
The two main themes of the drama "Fight and Love With A Terracotta Warrior".
Three lifetimes. Three stories. And never changing love. Great story, great idea, but the ending falls short of delivery that final message: the only thing that can withstand the rotting of time is love.
The first lifetime in the Qin dynasty was beautifully sad. I love how they juxtaposed the comical first part with the tragic second part. It really brings out the tragic factor. What a nice way to tear up our hearts at the end. Very very memorable lifetime and my favorite one too. I love all the comic scenes! Han Dong Er is the "heart" of this lifetime! She's so hilarious and quick witted.
The second lifetime...I wasn't too fond of...because of that time period. I don't really like to watch shows from that time period. Anyhows, the beginning of this lifetime was ok, it didn't start to pick up for me until Lan Tian/Tian Fang goes back into the tomb. Pretty interesting thing they did there with the whole Tian Fang going into Lan Tian thing. So many hypothesis about what actually happened to Lan Tian. He definitely came back at the very end when Li Li was about to die. The second lifetime ended on another sad note.
The third lifetime is my second favorite even though I wasn't fond of the ending. It was a happy ending, but it didn't really live up to the expectations left down by the first and second lifetime. Nevertheless, I loved watching Xiao Jing and Kai Ping bicker, I just wish there was more lovey dovey scenes between them. I also really enjoyed Zao Feng and Annie's story too! I went from disliking Annie's first and second lifetime character to loving her third lifetime character to gradually accepting all three lifetimes of her. She's had a hard life in all three lifetimes. I felt so happy for her when Zao Feng finally re-accepts her.
Ady An, Du Chun, Gallen Lo, Anna Fang, Zhao Yang, and everyone who participated in this drama. Thank you! 辛苦了!

I finally finish watching A Terracotta Warrior. I want to slap someone because the ending sucks. It really sucks.
- Awkward flow between scenes. How do you jump from being flushed out of mausoleum to Zhao Feng taking pictures of his son? This last episode was really just three big scenes: entering and exiting mausoleum, Zhao Feng and family happy time, Kai Ping and Xiao Jing kissing time.
- Lack of in depth Love Dialouge. This is a love story, it's suppose to move people to the point where the supermarkets run out of Kleenex. Unfortunately, all Annie got from Zhao Feng "I've loved you all along" and it wasn't even touching. It was too fast and didn't sound sincere. And between Kai Ping and Xiao Jing...that's another story that I have to complain about. They were more like flirting around than loving around. Come on, scriptwriters! What happened to that intenseness between Dong Er and Tian Fang!!! Did it rust during its time travel???
- Very Random Things Happen. What was the shooting star mirror all about? Kai Ping just took it out and it released something. That's just way too weird. And during the "intense" life/death scene, Xiao Jing slapped Kai Ping and he decides to be with her for the rest of his life. Uhhh, a little too easy there?
OH MY GOODNESS! This ending makes me so mad and disappointed, I want to write up my own ending. The only good thing I like about the ending was how the bad guy, Annie's father, got grappled with chains and disappeared forever behind closed doors.
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE ABOUT LOVE THAT TRANSCENDS TIME AND HISTORY. YET THIS SHOW LACKS THE VERY THING IT WAS SUPPOSE TO CONVEY, LOVE! WHERE IS IT? Han Dong Er and Meng Tian Fang had love. Zhu Li Li and Lan Tian had love. Even Zhao Feng and Annie had love. Where's the incredible love between Kai Ping and Xiao Jing!
Meng Tian Fang gets burned into A Terracotta Warrior to stand up for the love between him and Han Dong Er.
Han Dong Er ran into a pit of flames to die with Meng Tian Fang.
Zhu Li Li blocked a bullet and died in the arms of Lan Tian.
Lan Tian killed himself to be with Li Li.
What did Kai Ping and Xiao Jing do for love?
They had loads of cute moments but they were all flirty moments. Disappointed. I wish they had more love.
I feel like at least two episodes are missing. Ending was too rushed.

OMG! Baidu Tieba is heaven for drama addicts! There's so many other drama addicts there and they are pretty crazy too! Hahahahahaaa! I'm back after lurking around "A Terracotta Warrior" Bar and I am speechless at the craziness level there. There are so many people impersonating the characters from the dramas, from Qin Shi Huang to Qin Zhao Feng's eyeglasses. That's right! Someone made an account named "Qin Zhao Feng's eyeglasses". I also saw Shooting Star Mirror, Meng Tian Fang's Sword, Luo Kai Ping's iPhone, Longevity Pill, Millions of Stars, God Beast Crystal, 28 Constellation Crystal, etc. It's a very very lively forum! And these last few days, everyone's been going on a marriage frenzy. I witness so many "Dong Er" and "Tian Fang" marriages and some other rather unexpected unions.
Here's a list of some of the marriages (different users with same character):
- Dong Er and Tian Fang
- Li Li and Lan Tian
- Xiao Jing and Kai Ping
- Annie and Zhao Feng
- Xiao Jing and Liang(Annie and Zhao Feng's son)
- Xu Zhen (the reporter) and Qiu Ling (the 1st girl whose blood was drained) *they got married today*
- Zhao Gao and Xiao Jing's Grandma
- Mei Jiang and Hong Xiao Long(character from TVB A Step Into the Past)
- I think either Zhao Feng's eyeglasses or the sword got married with someone
- Shooting Star confessed to Qiu Ling but got rejected
- iPhone also confessed to Qiu Ling and got rejected too

1) Meow Attack: Make meow sounds when target is near
This attack is not effective at all. The purpose of meowing is to lower the enemy's guard, to let the enemy think that there's nothing there except a cat. Dong Er uses this twice on two people. The first time, Qin Shi Huang came to visit the pottery workshop causing her to hide in a vat. She accidently made some noise and used "meow" to cover her track but Qin Shi Huang found her hiding in the vat. The second time, Dong Er slipped out of the Virgin Female Court to find her father but encounters some patrolling guards and hides behind a pole. Unfortunately, again she made some noise and used her "meow" attack. Meng Tian Fang, head of the guards, knew something was wrong with this "meow". He dispatched the other guards to the other courts before investigating the "meow" and finding out that it was his beloved Dong Er meowing. Meow Attack fails.
2) Brain wash/hoodwink/bamboozle: turning lies into reality and reality into lies
Her most well-known attack. It is super effective and highly entertaining to watch. The best execution of this attack was when she pretended to be the goddess from the East Sea. She and Xu Fu, together, bamboozled Qin Shi Huang into thinking that immortal beings and longevity pills exist. Xu Fu must be Dong Er's master at hoodwinking. He's so good at it, especially when he has to do it extemporaneously. Hilarious scenes! Of course, there were many more hoodwinking scenes, too much to count and type. Watch the show to see more.
3) Knock Out Attack: Grab anything nearby, aim and throw or swing
Never ever try to attack this lady. She will literally break your head, just ask Qin Shi Huang. She accidently threw a heavy piece of her shooting star at his head, causing his forehead to be bruised for a few days. Poor Gong Jiang also suffered from this attack. Dong Er flattered him and told him he's the best artisan in China and that she must make a clay figure of him. He happily agrees although he's suppose to make sure Dong Er doesn't escape. Dong Er tells him that the back of his head is very beautiful and that she would like to start modeling from the back. He agrees and Dong Er sneakily goes up behind him and knocks him out. KO! Very effective.
4) Bathroom Attack: Pretend that you really need to go to the toilet
Bathroom Time is your best friend in dangerous situations. The first time she used it, the target fell for it and she knocked him out after he turned around to lead her to the toilet area. The second time she used it was when her identity is exposed. She tried to trick Gong Jiang into letting her go to the toilet but he's no fool. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! He prepared a bucket for her. Attack failed. The third time was when she was in jail and Mei Jiang was shooting her with real arrows. Just as Mei Jiang was about to shoot, Dong Er shouted wait and then threw a bucket full of excrements at Mei Jiang. Who told the guard not to empty the bucket! This attack will work 66.6% of the time.
5) Eye Poke Attack: Raise two fingers and aim for enemy's eyes and POKE
Super effective! Works 100% of the time. Dong Er used this twice. She was thrown in those walled jails where there's a small peek door on the big door. The guard opened the peek door and she poked his eyes. The second time, Xu Fu came to to rescue her and opened the peek door and got in the eyes too! OUCH!
This girl is either your best friend or your worst enemy. If you're best friends with her, your life will be extremely colorful. If she's your enemy, prepare to suffer, no weapons involved.
This is a prime example of reality hitting you in the face. The text is a line from Michael Wong's famous song, "Fairytale". It reads, "You cryingly told me that fairytales are all just lies". As you can tell from the picture, there is a fine line between fairytales and reality.

I'm having a double dose of Ady! Besides "A Terracotta Warrior", I'm also watching "Yun Niang". She's a very beautiful and talented actress! In "A Terracotta Warrior" she pairs up with Du Chun and in "Yun Niang" she pairs up with William Feng. They are also two very awesome actors which gives me a headache cause now I don't know which Ady couple to support the most. Van/Ady or Du Chun/Ady or William/Ady. I love all three pairings!!!
The meteor shower that started it all.
Han Dong Er, a lover of the night sky, spots four shooting stars in the sky.
It's beautiful but also very deadly. The shooting stars fall down onto Earth towards the First Emperor's terracotta workshop. Many workers are injured as they scrambled out of the shooting stars path.
The next morning, Dong Er, is determined to collect some shooting stars. She sneaks into the workshop and collects a bagful of shooting star debris.
On the other hand, the Emperor rushes to his workshop to preview the damages. Some people in black attempt to kill him but he is saved by General Meng Tian Fang. Tian Fang chases after the bandits and the Emperor follows. On the chase, the Emperor falls off his horse and meets Dong Er who is finished collecting her shooting stars.
A hilarious conversation between the Emperor and Dong Er ensues. Dong Er is completely clueless about this man standing in front of her despite the many times he tells her that he is 朕, a self referring term used exclusively by the emperor. A bandit suddenly appears and Dong Er uses her shooting star to block the bandit's sword. Her shooting star splits in half and she cries, "My shooting star! It's cut in half again!"
The Emperor battles the bandit while Dong Er goes behind a tree and tries to aim her shooting star at the bandit. The bandit moves in front of her, and she shoots...
The bandit moves in the nick of time and her shooting star strikes the Emperor in the head. Whoops!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! One of the funniest scenes in the show so far! Ady's facial expressions are hilarious! Good show good show! Hmm, now that I think back, there were 4 shooting stars, I wonder if there is any significance on the emphasis of 4 shooting stars. Why must there be a set number of shooting stars? Could it be that these 4 shooting stars represent 4 characters: Dong Er, the General, the Emperor, and Mei Jiang? Hmmm...or maybe I'm just thinking too much.

Hmmm, weird, the dubbing in the trailer sounds different from the dubbing in the actual show. I've watched 12 episodes already and Han Dong Er (played by Ady An) is hilarious! She's extremely bubbly and smart! Ahh, but happy times are often short lived. Usually, when something really good happens, something really bad follows. Yikes! Dong Er!

I kept my promise and finished My Date With A Vampire 3 on the last day of last year. And now I'm sad. I started watching My Date With A Vampire in the summer of last year and at the end of summer I was almost finish with My Date With A Vampire 3, I only had around 10 episodes left. It is such an addicting, mind blowing, beyond interesting show. And if such a great show ended, I would be so sad. That feeling of "it's over, there's no more to watch" is unbearable especially if it's a really good show. Remember Autumn's Concerto? I delayed the ending for a good two or three weeks before I finally gave in and watched it. I was sooo sad after it was over. And that's why I decided to delay the ending of MDWAV until the end of the last year. Good shows should never end, imo.
Comforting Words to Self: Good shows may come to an end on tv but they will continue to live as long as we remember them. The concepts and ideas we learn and extract from the good shows are invaluable to us, perhaps that is how good shows want us to remember them.
Ma Siu Ling and Fok Tin Yau, never forget their story. If you haven't watched it, you are not a true drama addict. Okay, that's harsh, but do watch it, it's really good. If you've got guts, start watching at night. You will instantly fall for the main girl character, Ma Siu Ling. She's too cool and too handsome. She's a very straightforward, no bullshit talk, dare to love, dare to hate, strong and stubborn on the outside, emotional and lonely on the inside, type of girl. She wants to embrace love with open arms but she can't take the tears that come with it because of a family curse. If she cries for a man, she will lose her powers as she is the 41st generation ghost buster from the Ma Family.
I love the deepness of the storyline and characters of this trilogy. And I love all the music too, it's all different unlike TVB. This show beats every TVB show I've ever watched.
My Date With A Vampire 1-3 is a Classic.
